Lake Cumberland

Lake Cumberland is one of the largest man-made lakes in the nation. It was formed in the 1950s when a large part of the Cumberland River was dammed. Lake Cumberland is one of the largest and deepest lakes in the United States. It is the third largest lake in Kentucky. In the United States, Lake Cumberland is considered the #1  houseboating destination. Lake Cumberland is famous for its Striped Bass fishing and holds the state record at 58 pounds.
