Yahoo Falls

Yahoo Falls is located in Whitley City, Kentucky in the Big South Fork area. The National Park Service claims that Yahoo Falls is Kentucky’s highest waterfall at 113 feet. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. There are many stairs to climb both metal and rock, so be prepared when you visit. There are also a lot of hills to go up and down, but it’s worth it. Wearing some type of hiking boots or shoes will help as the inclines are steep in some areas. Make sure to take a bottle of water with you and definitely a camera. This is one trip you won’t regret. The beauty this little piece of forest holds is totally amazing. Keep in mind, there are no gift shops here and no country store to get refreshments, only a restroom facility at the entrance. Picnic areas are spread throughout the forest.
